Beautiful apartment! Sandra was communicative throughout my stay and was helpful in providing recommendations around the area. The listing is as describes besides the air conditioner, which instead there was a dehumidifier. There are a few fans throughout the apartment, which helped keep the apartment cool (nights cool down temperature a lot) in mid-august it was fine. I was working remotely from the apartment and during the day it was quiet, but at night (especially with the window open) you can hear people infrequently yelling on the street. This is not an issue if you’re able to tune it out (or use ear plugs).

During the European Heatwave of June 2025, we were torn between keeping the windows open to let the air in (which includes the stench of garbage and piss from the streets below). There are many vagrants smoking crack, weed, and cigarettes right below the balcony and bedroom windows.

In the listing, it says "mobile airconditioner" but it is just a standard desk fan in addition to the two wall mounted fans. Needless to say, it was extremely hot in the apartment both in the day and night times.

Other than that, it was a decent apartment if you can get over these things.

It is a lovely home, perfectly decorated and equipped for two people to stay, we cooked at home as well as eating out, beautiful light, and ideal for working from home too! Cosy but with just enough space. The area is very central so perfect for getting around easily, the only comment is to be a little cautious on that road, especially if travelling alone, because there were many night dwellers, some harmless, but can also be a little noisy at night. Luckily the windows block out most of the noise.
Other than that it was perfect! I would stay again!

Central, cobbled streets, alleys, close to tourism, a little noisy at night, but windows block out most noise.

Manjerica does good matcha.
We eat vegan so highly recommend Kong and a buffet called jardim des cervejas

Sandra was great host, all requests have been met and easy deal!
Apartment was in the city center, close to all transportation options if you are planning to go somewhere else, there are also markets close by.
Apartment was in the great condition, even better than pictures show it (10/10)!

Neighborhood
You can see couple of migrants in the parallel street, but they were calm without any problems.
Beside them everything was fine!

There is a lot of taverns and restaurants close by, you will find it on google with great rate. Taverna Alfacinha is one of the best!

The location is very central. You are in beautiful Praça da Figueira in a two minutes walk.
Sandra is very attentive and has thought of everything you may need. I even found needle and thread to sew on a button! There are all the usual items but also extra batteries, safety pins, games, detergent and softener for laundry, basic ingredients like coffee, olive oil, vinaigre, pepper and more, a well-equipped kitchen etc.
The decorations are beautiful and the plants real. On the other hand, it is near an area where street people gather. Even with the double-pain windows shut, the noise bothered me. There are many other tourists around and I felt totally safe. Sandra was very helpful and notified the police or someone and the noise diminished a lot.

Neighborhood
It is just maybe 30 meters up a pedestrian path and around a corner from the famous 28 tram. The metro, buses and taxis are very nearby. It’s very well situated for a walk up to the castle or beautiful Graça view point. Groceries and restaurants are super close by. But nearby in Matin Moniz square are lots of loiterers.

It took a bit for me to write this because staying at Sandra’s was one of the best memories I had. Lisbon feels like a home to me, Sandra’s cozy apartment added a huge credit to it. I’ve never forget the breeze throughs the curtain in the morning, the sunshine on the dining table, the fresh air in the morning and the pigeon next door… Sandra herself is an incredible artist, I’m glad we met and definitely will see her and Lisbon again soon.

They are all very friendly and helpful! you must try the restaurants around!

The apartament was exactly as described. It was very well organised and equipped which made my stay very comfortable and felt like home away from home. The location is amazing! Everything is at your doorstep. Perfect for discovering the city. You are right at the heart of Lisbon.
Sandra is extremely welcoming and very responsive. She makes a great landlord and gives many useful tips. Highly recommended.

Right in the heart of Lisbon. Amazing location to lost yourself in the historical downtown.
A little bit loud at weekends but that’s something to take under consideration when staying right in the center of everything.

Sandra is a great host. She genuinely tries to help and does her best to solve your issues. The apartments are nice and cozy.

Unfortunately, we encountered an issue with bedbugs. It was horrible and seriously spoiled our stay. Sandra called pest control several times, but it only provided temporary relief. My wife had bites all over her body and had to use a lot of essential oil to try and repel the bedbugs, but it didn’t help much. We really suffered from the bedbugs and I hope Sandra did a thorough extermination with effective chemicals after we left. We even had to check out one day earlier because of this problem (unfortunately, we couldn’t leave sooner as there were no other available places to stay).

The location is good; however, there are a few drawbacks. First, a lot of drug-addicted homeless people constantly hang out right under the windows, making noise at night, smoking a lot. The worst part is that they urinate under the windows, making it impossible to open them without smelling the odor (no mention of constant smoke). On the other hand, they are mostly harmless as long as you don't interact with them, and there are some incense sticks in the apartments to help with the smell. Besides this, the location is perfect. It’s close to all tourist spots, well connected to other parts of Lisbon, and there are many good restaurants nearby.

One last thing to note: the apartments are located on the second floor, with no elevator, only a narrow and steep stairway. Thanks to Sandra, we were able to lift our big bags; otherwise, I doubt I could have brought them up alone.

Neighborhood
It's in the city center, right on the edge of the highly touristic pedestrianized zone. You have all the restaurants and attractions nearby. However, since it’s a big city center, there are a lot of homeless people who may ask for money, urinate, and constantly smoke.

If you like pastries, you should visit Pastelaria Suíça and Pastelaria Bairro Alto Hotel. You can have a great time at the hotel lounge, relaxing from the hot weather and the hustle and bustle of the city.
