Secret Garden House - Starlink internet & parking

We had a wonderful three-month stay in Marilena’s beautiful home. The house itself is full of character, family history, and lovely antiques, and it is clearly very well cared for. It felt welcoming and comfortable from the moment we arrived.
Marilena is an exceptional host. She greeted us with a generous basket that included olive oil made from the olive trees in the backyard, wine, fresh bread, and other thoughtful essentials. Later in our stay, she surprised us again with homemade kumquat jam, which was such a special touch.
One of the highlights of our time there was walking the grounds with Marilena as she showed us the edible herbs and greens growing around the property. She pointed out the lemon and orange trees we could pick from and even took the time to teach us how to harvest olives and explained the brining process. These experiences made our stay feel truly unique and connected to the place.
Her welcome book was extremely helpful, with house information, easy Greek phrases, and recommendations for local restaurants and nearby sites. She also kept us informed about upcoming events in Acharavi and Old Town Corfu ( a short 45 minute drive from the home), which helped us feel part of the community during our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this special home and are grateful for the friendship we developed with Marilena. We would happily stay again and highly recommend both the home and the host.

Neighborhood
The neighborhood is friendly, welcoming, and easy to settle into even if you are new to the area. People were consistently kind and helpful, which made it feel comfortable and community-oriented from the start.

Shops, restaurants, and the beach are all within easy walking distance, so daily errands and relaxing outings are very convenient. It’s a great location if you enjoy being able to explore on foot while still experiencing the charm of a local Corfu village atmosphere.

Kontessa Coffee Bar - we went there almost daily! Good coffee, tea and food .
White's Beach Bar - sunsets, dinner and relaxing times with a glass of wine.
Ilo Ilo - downtown restaurant with a good variety of foods.

We were here over the winter so things were just starting to open, but everywhere we went we were happy!
